1 month post treatment - new skin conditions

Hi.. well done on getting through your treatment..and its so great poop is starting to get easier..

Im 19 months post treatment now.. but about 3 month after treatment I developed blepharitis..and a lump on my eyelid..saw the eye hospital and they put it down to my low immune.. i had the lump removed..

But to be on the safe side speak to your oncology team.. they will guide u..

I am pleased to hear about your rapid recovery and less painful bowel movements, that must be a huge relief.  The other things may well be down to the after effects of what we know is a fairly toxic treatment (that has a very high success rate).  But anything you need reassurance about please mention to your oncologist; I had, and still have extremely fragile skin everywhere in my nether regions, I don't remember spots as such but everyone is different.

I hope everything continues to heal well!

Firstly well done on completing your treatment, it sounds as though your recovery is going well.

It's been over 8 years since I completed my treatment but I do remember I had some skin issues post treatment. I had the usual in the area that received the radiotherapy but once my side effects had peaked everything there healed pretty well but I started getting dry, red, itchy patches of skin elsewhere. These patches were almost eczema like, I’ve never suffered with eczema, I had one or two under my arms & in other places too! I spoke with my oncologist who said he didn’t think they were related to the treatment but I’m not convinced. Like you I’m assuming that it was most likely an immune response & once they healed they never came back. I’d be interested to hear what your oncology nurse says.

Hi . I had very painful lumps come up over my pubic hair area about a month after treatment. They were so painful. More like boils to me and they stayed very red for about a week then a white top came and they popped.  This went on for a few weeks and no more from then. Thankfully. Look after yourself 

They seem similar to yours but they're not painful. The good news is that they've healed and gone now. My nurse said most likely hair folicles where my pubic hair was trying to grow back
