After a rocky start with DPD genetic deficiency meaning I could only have half dose capecitabine, I finished chemoradiation treatment on 28/1, had my CT and MRI scans on Monday and my oncologist saw me yesterday to say it has all gone!!!! No trace of tumour or lymph node whatsoever. Relieved is an understatement! Laughed and cried, cried and laughed. I had T2 N1a M0 if anyone’s looking for inspiration and hope, I know I certainly did.
Hello MummaBearb8d2d7
That must have been such a lovely visit with your oncologist, that really is wonderful news. Laughing and crying is totally allowed! Having the first checks (and all the subsequent ones...) is so stressful and now you must be planning your summer!
Enjoy.
