So today I was officially discharged from the hospital 5 years after my treatment finished. Thought I’d post to give hope to those of you on this journey. I didn’t think I’d feel so emotional but ihas bought back the memories of how tough it was at times. It didn’t help that my treatment was in Covid times but it did mean there was no traffic en route to the hospital and parking was easier
A big thank you to the Champions on this site who together with others got me through with their help, guidance and support. Best wishes to you all and I hope you stay strong and brave. You will get through it and it will get easier. Some residue side effects remain but manageable and life is good. Hope you manage to enjoy the festive times even if modified!! Sending love Xx
Thanks for posting this, it is really reassuring for all of us who are still in this process, to hear about people like yourself who have made it through all the treatment and recovery, and to think that maybe we will get there too.
I wish you the best of health in the future and a very Happy Christmas. x
