Chemo radiotherapy and restless leg syndrome

Well done on completing your first day of treatment. So much to take in and a milestone. 

Just a thought about your restless legs - were you given steroids? I was given them on day one and for the first 5 days and it can definitely be a side effect.

Hi and thanks for the reply. I wasn’t given any steroids . I am going soon for my RT so I am going to speak to them as I only had 2 1/2 hours sleep and can’t keep doing that.

I am so sorry you are going through this, this is completely outside my experience and I can't help at all.  I just wanted to say I hope that they can offer you some sort of relief as sleepless nights are just awful.

Well done for getting through your first day Michelle.

Not medically trained, but anti sickness tablets have a lot of side effects that can make involuntary movements.

Hope your team get things sorted for you and all the best for the rest of your treatment.

 I hope that your treatment went as well as possible today and that you were able to get some advice and assistance with the restless legs. You must be exhausted and hope that there is an explanation and that things improve. 

Obviously not the steroids, as you didn’t have them but if it’s the anti nausea medication hopefully this has been reviewed. Wishing you a more restful night. X
