Hi all
Hope you are all doing as well as your can and I know the group will support you throughout..
As you all know I got the all clear on 3rd June for the AC scans which is absolutely wonderful..he said cancer was gone but lots of scare tissue..
Im still suffering with soreness in my perineum area and struggling to have sex..
I have an appointment with the urogynae department on 1st July so I'm hoping and praying they can help with what's causing the pain..
I know it's early days and it's only 4 months since my treatment finished..I was jyst hoping I would have fully healed down there by now .. Have any of you experienced these symptoms?
Xx
Hey Squeak.... you know I'm a long way off from where you are yet, but just wondered if you've had that awkward 'chat' with the nurses during treatment? I've been told about these dilators that I will have to use post treatment to make sure my lady bits aren't atrophied have you used them already? Not sure if that has helped or would help with the issues you're having? It's horrible that you're still struggling months on like this. Not sure what the answer is.

Hi..
Yeah I can use the dilators no problem.. I bought my own as the hospital ones where plastic and not friendly
Im hoping on 1st July they tell me what the hell the pain is.. it feels like carpet burns on my new skin and just under my buttocks. It's bloody annoying as I want to start living again xx

I am reading this with interest - I can't remember if I told you the first time we tried to have sex I was in a lot of pain and again the second time. Off I went to the bathroom and did a self-exam with a mirror and the skin in my perineum had split. We haven't tried since. Obviously the skin is really fragile there and I wondered if it was because my burns were really bad. I am always tender in the area and use a cushion in the car and have another indoors that I transfer from chair to chair. I really hope the urogynae department can help, please share on here!
