Hi lovely people..
Hope you are all getting through today as best you can..
I'm after a little advice really..
For 2 weeks post treatment the pain was awful.. just as doctor said..I didn't leave my bed other than to use toilet.
This week I'm starting to feel like I'm turning the corner.. had a trip to costa yesterday for a cappuccino and today I have had a small walk.. 4k steps..so these are positive steps on the road to recovery but im still suffering from sores on my labia area that just won't heal..is that normal? It's probable due to the area is where I sit .so there will be pressure.. I'm seeing my oncologist in Tuesday so will ask him..but thought I would ask you lovely people as well..
But for anyone who is coming up to the end of treatment there is light at the end of tunnel..use the weeks post treatment to rest and be kind to yourself..I used the oramorph for the 2 weeks post treatment..but im not had any for 3 days now and I feel ok ish..
Thanks for your time xx
Hi.. I got flamazine before i finished my treatment which i have used up and flamigel RT.. but that's it..
I was using e45..but that says done use on cracked skin..
I've bought some sudacreme so might try that and will talk to doctor on Tuesday xx

Congrats on surviving what I'm now referring to in my head as the "aftermath"! I wish I had advice for you, but since I am just one week into treatment, I don't have any yet. I am thrilled for you that you're out walking and grabbing a cappuccino. I'm sending you big healing hugs and wishes for a continued and speedy recovery! Xx
Hello Squeak
Wow - 4k steps, you really are doing well! And stopping the Oramorph too, that is a big step. I hope the cappuccino was as good as you remembered too.
I had open sores that and was given Flaminal Forte that is specifically for open sores and that helped, although my sores still took a while to heal. I think any area that produces its own moisture and isn't open to fresh air doesn't heal as quickly, so you are doing the right thing discarding the knickers when you can.
Yes, mention it to the oncologist on Tuesday, and please let us know what s/he suggests.
Lots of gentle healing good wishes
Irene xx
Yay well done - getting past the treatment and then next few or more weeks is tremendous! I used flamigel (still do sometimes) was very sore as skin damaged and atrophy kicked in at the same time. Always get help with any questions as leaving things to chance they heal isn’t necessary. Use no scent shower gel and I now use non bio washing pods for clothes.
keep strong and keep walking steady x
