Hi I have a end stoma, and have a lot of loose output, any advice please.
Hi Subaer
You may find it helpful to post in the stoma support group where more people with stomas will be likely to respond. If you click on this link it will take you there
Could I just clarify when you say “end stoma” do you mean an end colostomy? The reason for asking is that loose output is more a feature of an ileostomy than a colostomy. I do have an end colostomy myself, and tend to suffer from loose output only if I’ve got an upset tum. Perhaps you could share a little bit more information and those of us with stomas will hopefully be able to help.

Hi Subaer,
I have a colostomy. As SarahH21 mentioned there is another support group that has loads of info. If this is ongoing, then you may also want to check in with your ostomy nurse or doctor to make sure it isn't something else going on like a virus. Food to thicken include: applesauce, bananas, white rice, peanut butter, yogurt, white toast, marshmallows. More info can also be found on www.ostomy.org.
