Congratulations beryl that’s wonderful news. 
can I ask what your initial diagnosis was and what treatment you’ve had? 

I was diagnosed with anal cancer and Pagets disease, I don't know which came first.

it took several months before anyone seemed to recognise it but eventually I had my treatment at Weston Park hospital in Sheffield.   I had 28 days of radiotherapy and 28 of a chemo tablet.   I was told I was given a high dose of treatment as it was so rare.   I did well with the treatments but was extremely sore for ages afterwards.    I still use Sudocrem daily.

It's amazing how soon you forget the bad parts but I'm so grateful to have seen my grandchildren grow into young adults, something I feared wouldn't happen when first told I had cancer!
