Hi Vicarcarr I'm sorry to hear your mum is struggling with diarrhoea. Unfortunately, this is one of the common side effects of the chemo-radiotherapy. I personally used Loperamide and found it effective. If you mum is taking the maximum recommended dosage and it's not working, then she will need a change in the type of anti-diarrhoea drug. The colorectal nurses will be able to advise you as to an alternative. I'd also keep an eye on her diet which may be contributing to the problem. Bev
