Hi thank you for your reply I've still got 13 days radiotherapy with some chemotherapy yet I've been given some gel called instillagel I've stopped using it it really isn't doing any good and it really stings it has been said about morphine I know things will be get worse yet so this is the clam before the storm I'm glad you are well hope it stays that way.

    Fudge Millie

i found both Aveeno with Collodial Oatmeal and Aveeno Skin Relief lotion very good post RT treatment, it was really soothing and kept my skin nicely moisturised which helped the healing process. I also used Cetraben Emusifier during and immediately post treatment. I’d apply it as a cream immediately after treatment each day and use as a soap to wash it off pre-treatment.

    kind regards

Hi angelfeather thank you for the tip I've still got 13 days left before the end of my treatment I do use aveeno for my hand and feet it is Really good so I shall give a go thank you again x

  • Hi again ,

Just a further thought regarding creams etc., I was provided with QV cream by my radiotherapy team throughout my treatment to use to moisturise between treatments & to wash with instead of soaps/shower gels etc., this is basically an aqueous cream that won’t sting even broken skin, I have it on repeat prescription & still use it today to wash the new skin ‘down there’ with as it’s super sensitive even now! you could ask if the hospital could provide you with some or it can be bought over the counter, although you don’t really want to be out shopping right now! Anyway just a thought.
