Hi,
So I went for an EUA on Wednesday which was brought forward as experiencing new symptoms.
where the primary tumour was it looks as well as it can do after treatment however, as I had lymph node involvement they have been keeping an eye on what it has been doing. Surgeon said he could feel it was enlarged and on last mri changes were noted. Baring in mind I received a letter stating all was well so a bit confused.
I’m now waiting for mri so they can compare scans. Was told to not panic it’s the wait and the unknown again.

Hello AW3
Just wanted to share my experience,
I had a lymph node suspected cancer pre treatment. After chemo radiation it went very hard, it's in my groin so I can feel it and it has never changed since treatment ended in August.
It's been looked at via CT tomography, PET scan and MRI and it's described as fibrotic, presumed dead. After treatment that area was a little puffy, which I presumed to be inflamation and maybe fluid retention. It feels like a hard pea, not painful and the team are not concerned as this happens to cancerous nodes when they are treated with radiation.
You absolutely need clarity and I hope your next scans gives you that.
Have they done a follow-up PET scan?
Don't be shy to advocate for yourself and ask questions, my surgeon and oncologists are used to the million questions and adapt their information to my needs.
Hope you gets yours scans and results quickly.

Hello AW3
I am sorry to say this isn't something I have experience of but I am relieved that AllyL has shared her own experience. I completely understand how worrying it is for you, the mind goes into overdrive at any time after a cancer diagnosis and treatment and it can't have helped that you have been getting somewhat confusing messages.
I really do hope you don't have to wait too long to have a clearer picture of what is going on. I am not going to say don't panic, so easily said but not when you are the one in a very hot seat.
Please let us know when you hear.
Big hug
Irene xx
