Last week I had my meeting with the oncologist to review my 3 month post scan results, its wonderful news no sign of the tumour. I was shocked as I had told myself that the treatment can take 6 months to work so so so happy to get this news . I will now been scanned in another 3 months.
I hope this gives others some reassurance that this treatment although very tough does work . I have some ongoing bowel amd hip/pelvis pain but this is being looked into and Im going to have some physio to try and help my back…I did have sciatica before treatment so I think treatment has made it worse.
shout out to all you lovely people in this forum that have been there for me with support and advice over the past few months this really does mean so much to me . You lot really make a difference xxx

Amazing news Emma
I endorse what you say about the support of the group, our journeys maybe different but we are all dealing with our cancer with more knowledge from the lovely people here who take time to help.
I am having my second mri scan next week and hoping that reiterates my 1st one all clear . Like you I’m still having few bowel issues and hip/pelvis pain but they are getting checked on scan .
Wish you all the very best too.

Brilliant news Emma! Think the effects of radiotherapy are pretty harsh and can take ages to subside. Hopefully you are on the way now anyway.
Best wishes and hugs
Amazing news Emz1976 , congratulations!
The hip/pelvic pain will hopefully improve over time, I’ve been left with some residual hip & lower back pain & bilateral sciatica, I was referred for intensive physio which did help although I’m going through a flare up at the moment! I’m going to ask for a review on my hip in the new year though as I’ve some osteoarthritis too.
Time to start living again now, so pleased to hear your fabulous news.

Absolutely lovely news Emma - now have a really lovely Christmas!
