Hi everyone ,

as I have posted before , I have an anal cancer and 2 large retrorectal cysts which are showing cancer too . I meet my oncologist next week and I believe my stage is T3 N1 m0 . I think I understand what this means but totally confused on what the future holds and what the doctors are going to tell me .

I have learnt so much from those of you who have been there , done it and got the T-shirt

love to you all

  • Type mistake it’s T3

  • Hello! Staging is so scary. I was T4N1aM0. I had 6 weeks chemoradiotherapy which finished on the 2nd January. It was rough going but it is over before you know it. Have they given you any idea of whtlat your treatment plan is yet? The point you are at in the journey was the worst for me. I was so confused and scared. This group have been amazing at answering questions and helping understand x

  • Thanks for your kind reply … Im waiting for my treatment plan , scared but trying to be positive

  • Hello Chrissie

Just to help (sorry if you have seen this before) this link explains the staging of anal cancer.

Once treatment starts you will feel more in control and things start to look brighter.  Please let us know how you are getting on and your treatment plan.  Should you need help and support in the meantime, there are quite a few of us as you see!

    Big hug.

  • Hi Chrissie,

This really is such a scary time. The whirl and rush to get testing done and everything in place is a weird backhanded blessing, it keeps you busy and then BOOM! You're in treatment and taking it all moment by moment, no more peering anxiously into a murky future.

You're here, and we've got your back.

    Hugs

    Suz
