So I have had my 3 month scan, and have been told my tumour has gone. There is a query over residual tumour or scarring, but the consultant is happy that the tumour has resolved, and any residual tumour will be cleared by the ongoing presence of treatment.
I think I am reserving my excitement for Oct when I have my first surveillance scan, but wanted to share the results anywhere for anyone currently going through treatment.
My consultant told me at the outset he expected a complete response to treatment. I didn't believe him at the time and assumed the worse, but here I am 4 months later with a likely all clear on the scan, very little in t he way of side effects or discomfort, feeling better than I have for a very long time, having previously had troublesome AIN for a number of years.

Aww huge congratulations to you Beyond terrified, the relief really is immense isn’t it? I’m sure October will bring more good news. It’s really encouraging for those who are newly diagnosed or just starting out on their treatment to read posts such as yours & Marie’s (Mecca), I think we all fear the worse in those early days & that feeling often returns when we’re waiting for results etc. I’m over the moon for you.
