I'm a carer for my husband who was diagnosed with AML last October. Just wanted to say hi to everyone.

Hi and welcome to this corner of the Community although always sorry to see folks joining us. I am Mike Thehighlander and I help out around our blood cancer groups.
So sorry I hear about your husbands AML diagnosis.
I was diagnosed way back in 1999 with a rare incurable but treatable type of skin Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Stage 4a and although my blood cancer ‘type’ is different I have experienced most types of treatments used but not necessarily the exact same drug miix…… but I see from your profile that Stem Cell Transplant (SCT) is being looked at, this I know well, as I have had 2 Allo (donor) SCTs…… it’s a very long story so do look at my profile.
We do have a dedicated Stem cell transplant group where you can talk with patients and carers from various blood cancers brought together on the same SCT journey,
Happy to talk more and will keep an eye open for you in the SCT Group.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
