Hi,

I'm not really sure how to start this and I'm very new to this. I've had AML in the past about a year ago but i recently got pregnant and a few weeks after finding out I was pregnant I got diagnosed with AML again. Has anyone else been in a situation like this I'm just completely overwhelmed and wondering how others have dealt with emotions.

  • Hi  and welcome to this corner of the Community. First congratulations but I can totally understand your overwhelming emotions.

I have NHL and have had two Allo (Donor) Stem Cell Transplant and there have been a few folks come through the various blood cancer groups who were expecting and went on to have healthy children.....

Lets see if anyone is looking in.... I will have a search and see if I can find any links to the past discussions.

What are your team saying?..... are you or were you planned to do treatment?

    ((hugs))

  • Hi again, try putting HopefulMummy123 who had HL into the search tool and look at some of her posts, this tag will send her an email so she may well be looking still.

My team have reassured me that i can carry till late in my third trimester, I have been considering going on daunorubicin and cytarabine my team and midwife have said that mine and babies weight will be checked regular so the dosage can be upped as we grow lowering the risk of harm to baby. However I'm still unsure if i want to risk putting baby in any sort of harm or if i want to wait till I reach my third trimester to be induced and then begin intensive treatment. But its all a bit of an emotional mess at the minute.
