My AML TP53 has returned to my bone marrow.

Chemo cyarbine and venetoclax had me in remission for 4 months - now  the haematolgist at MacMillan says my SCT has to be cancelled and there is nothng else to offer me.

I feel abandoned.

  • Hi John, sorry to read your post. Being in a remission window to go into Stem Cell Transplant (SCT) has very fine margins and being in remission is indeed required for 99% of all cases but some types of blood cancers fit in the 1% where going into an Allo (donor) Stem Cell Transplant can be done not in remission…… I fitted into this little window for both my Allo SCTs

You may want to look at the Leukaemia Care UK site as they may have information about clinical trials.

  • Dr has discussed with Addenbrooks and they come up a new treatment of stronger chemo .combination .

    Onwards, never give up

  • Good news. Over my 23 years I have found the Nelson Mandela quote to be very true…It always seems impossible until its done.
