hi everyone. 

my husband ( 37) has just beem diagnosed with AML, we are still waiting for details as lab rests are not back yet. he was fot amd healthy until a few weeks ago and then had a cold and flu and at the moment he if fighting sepsis. they camt start chemo.intil the sepsis is under co teol. we are im shock . has anyone here had delayed treatment because of sepsis?

  • Hi  and welcome to the Online Community, although I am so sorry to see the circumstance that brought you here and so sorry to hear that your husband has been diagnosed with AML.

    I am Mike Thehighlander and I help out on the Community and more specifically in our blood cancer forums.

    Having had sepsis a number of times I understand the challenges but trust in his team as they will get things under control and move treatment on.

    You may also find our various Macmillan Support Line Services on 0808 808 00 00 to be helpful as you can talk to a friendly person that can help in lots of ways.
