Hello to anyone who maybe reading this,

I would like to go to Orlando in Disney land , I have been diagnosed with breast, liver and bone cancer I have had this for 6 and a 1/2 years now but now im getting pins and needles in my legs and fingertips.

Can anybody give me any suggestions on travelling by plane for 9 hours.

Do I take 1 plane for 9hours or do I over lap (take 2 planes)?

Any suggestions on travel insurances.

Thank u

  • Have you tried the companies on the Macmillan list of specialist insurance providers?

  • No  not  yet  but  im about  to  .  I have  used  insurancewithin  for my  cruise  .they were good   but because  im flying  going to orlando  I didn't know if there would be anyone cheaper

  • Hello ,

As far as flights are concerned if my geography serves me right, US destinations with the shortest flight times are New York or Boston at around 7 hours. If you fly direct to Orlando it's about 9 hours as you say, so there's probably not much advantage in splitting it into 2 flights. Every time I've flow to the US there's always people that get up and walk up and down the aisles for exercise, maybe you could do the same to relieve the pins and needles?

As far as travel insurance is concerned you could try comparison site Albert & Eddie, I've had lung cancer and also now have incurable but treatable prostate cancer and I got reasonably priced cover through them.

I hope you can get sorted for your trip.
