Thank you for the replies regarding my query getting Travel Insurance for a 1 week cruise in the Med. I contacted Albert and Eddie Insurers as recommended by a forum user, they suggested my husband call them with further info on his terminal liver cancer.
He phoned then and spent a long time on the call giving them loads of info. They asked for information regarding PSA and Platelets readings that he had to get emailed to him from his GP.
A Medical Advisor from Albert and Eddie phone him 2 days later. He went through all the information with them (again), and they advised that they can't insure him for a cruise, and based on the info provided, no one else will insure him either.
However they did say that they MIGHT insure him for a 1 week holiday in Europe provided it was mainland and not an island, but couldn't say how much it will cost.
We are reluctant to actually book anything without guaranteed insurance, so we'll decide where to go and when, then call them back.
Although they couldn't give us what we wanted, they were very helpful, and at least it wasn't an outright NO.

That's a shame that Albert & Eddie weren't able to provide insurance for a cruise but good news that they thought they would be able to provide cover for a mainland European holiday.
Have you had a look through the members recommended travel insurance thread yet, as you'll find lots of recommendations there from others who have got travel insurance? I know Albert & Eddie said that other insurers wouldn't insure you either but you never know until you try them.

I'm sorry you didn't get anywhere with cruise insurance, but at least they didn't close the door completely.
I do hope you can find something suitable in mainland Europe if that's what you would like and they can come up with something suitble for you. If so it would be useful if you could let us know.
