I was able to get an annual insurance policy from Insurancewith at reasonable cost. I have metastatic breast cancer. 

Hi Stowawaysam and a very warm welcome to the travel insurance group which I hope you'll find is an informative place to be.

Unfortunately, as you've found, it can be more difficult to get travel insurance when you've had a cancer diagnosis and you'll usually need to take out insurance with a company that specialises in providing insurance for people who have pre-existing medical conditions.

Have you had chance to look through the members recommended travel insurance thread yet, as you'll find lots of recommendations there from others who have got reasonably priced travel insurance? If not, you could make a list from there and then settle down to get quotes either online or over the phone.

Although I had different cancer diagnoses to you, in recent years I've used payingtoomuch.com and goodtogoinsurance.com to cover my foreign holidays and found them to be reasonably priced.

I suggest you also try Albert & Eddie, it is a comparison site and part of the same group that own Insurancewith that Coddfish suggested.

The group also owns other insurers including Holiday Safe that I am currently using, so you should receive alternative quotes from completing one proposal.
