Hi all
I have booked a holiday to egypt in August. It was booked in January. I have been looking for travel insurance that would cover me if I had to cancel it closer to the time as my elderly mother has been very ill and waiting on more tests. But GP feels there is something more going on as liver bloods have been very bad and a recent scan was inconclusive. She has been quite poorly and if she deteriated quickly I would not be able to go as I am her main carer
Would any one have any advice please.
Valerie
Hello Valerie,
I'm very sorry to hear of your mother's illness.
I'm afraid I think you'll find that costs of cancellation / curtailment under these circumstances will not be covered because the policy will only respond if such events are unforeseen.
Derek.
