Hi everyone, I was wondering what experience members had with maintenance treatment with their travel insurance, regards PORTO107

  • Hello PORTO107,

I don't know what what maintenance treatment you're on, however I have incurable prostate cancer and am on indefinite drug treatment with regular 12 week blood tests to help keep it at bay.

I was able to get cover using comparison site albert & eddie. They are owned by the same company that owns Insurancewith and Holidaysafe, you might have seen their names on here already. I ended up going with Holidaysafe, taking out annual worldwide early 2024 which I just renewed for 2025 at virtually unaltered premium.

Maybe try if you haven't already, if you're not 100% sure you've answered the health questions correctly (or have any doubts) I suggest you get an online quote to see if it fits for you and then 'phone to make sure.

    Hope you can get sorted.

    Derek.

  • I have annual cover with Staysure. I spoke to them on the phone and told them I was receiving adjuvant drugs. As said above, it’s best to speak to the company and make sure they confirm in writing any diagnosis and treatment and that they’ll cover you.

  • Many thanks for your reply excavator. I have multiple myeloma and had finished 5 months of chemo 3 weeks ago and  it has gone well. Was hoping maintenance treatment might be positive for travel insurance prices .Many thanks for reply. Regards Portoq07.
