My wife was recently diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. She is due to have a lumpectomy on 12th September, and probably 5 days radiotherapy to follow later in the year. We had booked a holiday to the Caribbean for November, prior to the diagnosis. The balance for the holiday is due to be paid a week after surgery the 18th September. I know I need to talk to our travel insurance company which I will be doing this week, we have an annual worldwide policy with Avanti. It is unlikely that the radiotherapy will take place before the date of our holiday so we had thought it would do her good to travel before radiotherapy starts. Has anyone travelled abroad between surgery and radiotherapy with agreement from their travel insurer?
