Still trying the get to Australia for 10 weeks from October, has anyone had any resent experiences of getting travel insurance for Oz. (I’ve looked in the 23/24 areas etc) but would like some more resent info, my husband will have finished x 4 cycles of chemo by then which is palliative, just need to get him to Oz once to see his son.
Hi Ziggy01
I have a holiday to Australia booked and my travel insurance is included with the type of bank account I have with Nationwide.
It costs £18 per month to have the account but, if joint covers both of you. I did have to pay extra for pre-existing medical conditions, length (31 days is covered as standard) and cost of the trip.
Before committing yourself to opening an account you can get a quote online as a non-customer to see if they will cover you.
Thank you for the response, bank has declined my husband, has conditions controlled by medication but also had a silent stroke in the last year, and hypothyroidism, side effect of treatment.
