My experience- I hope this helps someone!
I was getting really desperate about finding insurance early in 2025 for a last minute winter sun break in Europe with my daughter. I was being investigated for minor musculoskeletal health symptoms (not cancer-related) but without any diagnosis yet. Six medical specialist companies I tried rejected me. I have multiple chronic health conditions and I have been in remission from cancer for four years. AllClear covered me, although the symptoms I was being investigated for were excluded. I went straight for the option of telephoning them because I am a complicated case. The customer advisor was so knowledgeable and patient, understood my issues and was able to cover all my diagnosed health conditions for under £50 for the week. The training must be excellent. It was a very long phone call! I took the offer, for a single trip insurance, needless to say. My close friend recommended Staysure, although they rejected me!
So in summary, try AllClear, but phone directly rather than going online.

  • Thanks very much for taking the time to post your recommendation  and I hope you have a lovely holiday.

  • I had a really bad experience with All Clear.  I wanted to get quote for a yearly policy.  I have stage 4 Cancer which is treatable but non curable.  At the beginning of the telephone conversation I was asked if my Cancer was terminal.  I replied it's treatable but non curable  to which the assessor said well that is terminal then.  She then went on to ask how long I was expected to live after my return from holiday.   I explained that I hadn't even booked a holiday yet as I needed to get insurance in place first.  To this she replied that she was unable to go any further without this information!  I did manage to get Insurance with InsureWith but it was very expensive and comes with a £1000.00 excess.  This is however for worldwide exc Mexico with cruise cover.  I will just say the premium was more than the cost of one of the cruises!

  • Oh dear, so sorry to hear this. Insurewith wouldn’t even give me a quote! Insurance does seem so variable.

  • Yes it's a nightmare isn't it.  It would be great if they could be more consistent but it appears that it is pot luck if you get one willing to take you on.  I only tried All Clear as Insurewith advised me to try other quotes as the premium and excess  with them was so high.  However after the debacle with All Clear I decided not to try any further,
