I had cancer 7+ years ago and now I am awaiting an operation for something unrelated.
Due to the fact that I am awaiting an operation (which could have resulted in emergency repatriation), I rang a company I had used before when I had my cancer diagnosis. They said they couldn't help with my current holiday but recommended the Money Helper Travel Insurance Directory
I contacted about 5 companies. I only wanted 7 day cover (one quote for annual was £2k+). 3 just told me to go online (no good as I knew it was more complicated than that). A broker got back to me and the lowest they had was over £180, but Freedom Insurance Services Limited were really helpful. We spoke on the phone and she was constantly ringing the doctors for the underwriting team and the price for 7 days was less than £47 for the middle level of cover. I didn't bother checking any others after this as it was such a good price
Hope this helps
Lesley
Hi Lesley
Thanks very much for taking the time to post your recommendation. I don't this firm have been mentioned before so it's great to get a new name to try.
I hope you have a lovely holiday
Anne
