Hi everybody
I am planning a long trip to Australia (up to 60 days) and I am looking for the best and most economic travel insurance. I have been diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia but I am not yet having to have any treatment. Can anybody recommend a good company?
Many thanks
Hello Andrew,
I don't know anything about your condition but if you don't need to have any treatment yet you might find getting cover at a reasonable price less difficult than some of us.
I suggest you have a quick look through others' recent comments on this community and try online quotes from a few insurers they have used.
There are also other more specialised insurers who can often provide good cover and price for cancer patients, such as Insurancewith, albert&eddie, Holidaysafe and Blue Bear that I am aware of. These use a different algorithm to produce quotes which asks more detailed questions and are worth a try (I recently obtained reasonable quotes from a couple of them and settled with albert&eddie for my worldwide annual cover).
I hope you can get sorted, let us know how you get on.
