Hi,

I am currently 4 sessions in on my 2 year planned immunotherapy. I am on Pembrolizumab. I have stage 3 Non small cell lung cancer. I am wondering if anyone else has been able to find travel insurance for a similar diagnosis and is it still possible to get on a plane and get away from it all.

Ever hopeful Fingers crossed tone1!!

Thank you

  • Hello

I have just noticed your post has gone unanswered. I am Brian one of the Community Champions here at Macmillan. By me replying to your post it will be "bumped up" to the top of the forum and I hope seen and replied to by other Community members.

From personal experience I don't complete the online quote form as they all work on the same algorithms, I telephone the Company and give them all my details - that way if they will cover me I know I have told them everything about my condition.

I do hope you get cover and have a fantastic holiday Sunny.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Hi

Unfortunately, it can be more difficult to find reasonably priced travel insurance when a cancer diagnosis is involved so please join us over in the travel insurance forum for cancer patients group to see the recommendations from others who have been successful.

Once you've joined, have a look through the threads there called 'Recommended Travel Insurance' and Recommended travel insurance 2023-24', which you'll find on the first page. They are full of recommendations from other cancer patients who have got travel insurance, although not necessarily with the same diagnosis as you.

    Wishing you all the best
