Hi. I recently got annual multi trip travel insurance including cruise cover for me and my wife for around £2000, expensive but worth it. I have stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer
it was when I tried to obtain single trip insurance for a cruise to USA and Canada, that I came up to an unexpected problem. It’s a bit of a catch 22 issue. If you have metastatic cancer, you have to go to a specialist provider, but they have quite a low cancellation cover figure, which was nowhere near what I wanted. So I could get cover, but not for the amount of cancellation cover I needed. I had to cancel the cruise
Unless someone hear knows differently…………
Hi, you sound in a similar situation to my hubby, he finishes chemo 22nd December all being well and plan to get away a week or so after.
Although I can’t answer your question I’m interested in whether you have managed to travel at all and who is it you are insured with? I hope you do t mind me jumping on the pat and asking questions ?
We also love cruising but thought this would be a no no due to medical help if needed so interested on any answers so will keep an eye out
Kind regards to you
