Has anyone else been the recipient of, for want of a better word a 'hostile' attitude toward them during their cancer?
I had stage 2 ovarian cancer, a radical hysterectomy and then needed chemotherapy. Someone I thought was a friend said to me . 'I hear you're having chemotherapy, I wouldn't have it.' They had never had cancer and I'd not asked their opinion.
This same person, when I was having chemo and wearing a mask to prevent infections, shouted at me on two occasions, to 'take off that stupid mask.'
I found this very upsetting.
Aside from this person I received nothing but kindness and support.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
