We have just been told that it is very unlikely that my partners cancer will be operable, even after chemo, so the plan is just to prolong his life. They have said prognosis is about 2 years.
How do i tell my daughters (11 and 8) that their dad is not gonna be around to see them grow up, that he won't be there for.prom, or exams, or first boyfriend/girlfriend? It breaks my heart thinking about having this conversation, yet I know its important that we do, so that they understand and we can plan some fun activities/trips as a family to make memories.
Feel so.isolated with this, anyone got any experiences or nuggets of information that they used/found? Or anyone else out there in a similar boat?
