My father has terminal cancer and keeps losing blood. His count is low and he needs a blood transfusion but they will only do it at A&E which involves a long wait. Last time we were there for 16 hours and it made him so ill. Chemo unit have refused to help as he isn’t on chemo. Does anyone have any experience of getting a blood transfusion without having to attend A&E? Thank you .
