Has anybody had a drain fitted to remove the fluid to help with breathlessness? How effective was it?
My mum had a drain fitted back in November. The district nurses are removing 400-600ml a week. She was in some pain to start with but doesn't really notice it now.

Yes very much so and for few days after her weekly drain her energy levels are elevated too
