Does anyone know how quickly you can get carers in? We need help now she is getting an assessment on Wednesday but she is really not very well.
Not sure what to do, we have emergency number for district nurse but not sure what they would actually do? She’s not eating anything or drinking the drinks how feet are so swollen and she is so sick and a little confused. I think because she perks herself up when the nurse comes once a week they aren’t seeing how un well she is?
Hi Outlook2022
In my experience most nurses recognize that patients often put on a brave face when they come around but hopefully you get a chance to talk with them. Unfortunately care in the community is something of a postcode lottery and is often contributory and often loved ones end up in A&E when there is nowhere else to turn.
Hopefully the assessment will help, fingers crossed.
