Being a carer is bloody difficult. They don't train for this!!!
Sure is. I've likened it to an endurance trail race where you are dumped at the start line with no kit, no map, no training, no idea how long its going to last, no idea where its going to go, no idea of the terrain up ahead and no idea how much time you have.
But you know what, we get there...

Hi I’m new to this group my husband is 54 he was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer in January it has spread to he’s liver and lungs also he had a brain tumour removed it is terminal he doesn’t want chemotherapy as he’s prognosis was 12 months it’s now 4 months he’s 2 months into that he has gone downhill very quickly I’ve given up work to look after him and finding it difficult to watch him suffer he can’t really do anything for himself really he’s stopped eating a few weeks ago he has morphine but won’t take it he is still fighting but he’s not getting any better he’s become very angry and not nice and all me and my daughters do is try to help but i don’t know what else to do i don’t know if I’m doing the right thing it’s like he’s gone but still here but he won’t give up and take anything for the pain can anyone suggest what i can do to help him xxx
