Hi everyone can anyone offer any advice on slurring shallow speech and confusion . My mum was confused yesterday and could barley hold a conversation with me . Her eyes looked vacant it breaks my heart to see her so weak and frail . My mum is in a nursing home and I’m worrying now that’s she’s not going to receive the level of pallative care she needs . I can’t fault the carers I see in the daytime it’s at night I worry . I’ve spoken to the care home about this and they said the night team is a good team . My mum has a visit from the local hospice pallative care nurse , but they did say they would only intervene if the Gp / nursing home couldn’t manage my mums pain relief . Does anyone have any experience of care home care / hospice care ?
