Hi there, I am new to this group.
im really struggling and thought I would join and speak to others that can understand what I am going through
my mum was diagnosed with incurable lung cancer in June this year
she has had 4 sessions of chemo which she finished last month. The scan showed that the treatment has shrunk the tumour, unfortunately the chemo has also taken its toll on my mum she is sleeping a lot and not eating too much she does get up everyday but very sleepy. bless her she calls it sleepy sickness
i do not know how long I will have my mum she is staying positive and planning on putting her tree up this weekend xx
Hi LGee there are lots of us on this group who totally understand your worries and fears. My husband has Stage 4 NSCLC, inoperable and incurable. He has had a Rocky time with his treatment (combined chemotherapy and immunotherapy) as his liver has reacted on a few occasions. He has also mainly had fatigue as a side effect but it seems to have settled into a pattern now so after his treatment he has 2-3 days when he’s fine and then 8-10 days of tiredness. It’s hard at times seeing him so exhausted but if it slows the cancer then he says it’s worth it. I have good days and bad days and I find this online community so helpful when I need to remember I am not alone.
