Hi, I'm new.
History :- My dad who is 78 was diagnosed with Liver disease and liver cancer in February 2020. We were told he could have a transplant then suddenly he couldn't because it wouldn't help. He was given 12 months, luckily he is still here. He has fluid drained from his stomach every few days, using the permanent drain he has. Then a big drain in the hospital when needed. My dad is a widower, he runs his company still with my brother. My dad doesn't want to know details about the cancer. He said what will be will be. He says he is fine all the time.
I noticed recently the last few weeks that he is getting more tired, frail and in pain. The other day he was bed bound in pain and I didn't know who to call. The drs,. Community nurses or his Liver nurse. He hasn't involved Macmillan (he thinks they are only involved at the end, even though I have tried to explain).
I spoke to his Liver nurse today who told me my dad is deteriorating. I don't know what to do.
Sorry for long story.
