it’s hard to believe my hubby of 45 years is at end stage lung cancer. It’s so hard watching him go from a fit man doing his allotment to being in bed most of the time. Every day I pray for a miracle for such a good kind man.

Thanx Sunsarah for the big hug. We’re at present in isolation owing to corona virus. It’s hard but this Is our chance to talk-as were alone together all day. I asked the children not to come just phone text or Skype.Blush

Thanx poppy1955.my heads all over the place he now has a hospital bed. Although easier to get in n out of for him. It’s remmdining me of what’s to come . The nights are the hardest. We’ve lost him already due to confusion. This lockdown is difficult for us both.

Nothing I can say will help much,  just wanted to send you a virtual hug.  My husband is very close to his next journey now,  I'm coping with everything myself at home.

I have just started to allow the hospice nurses in as he now is at the stage of not being able to keep anything down,  including all his tablets.

They've fitted a cannula to pop them in and today probably putting the driver on.

It's hard to see him like this but I'm doing all I can to keep him comfortable.

    Sent with love and hugs.

    Mandy x

Hi Bailey48, my wife is also spending her final days at home just looking at me for support and help. She didn't want a hospital bed as wants to spend her last night's with me. I opted for having carers as I needed some help, although it's only 3 x 1/2hours per day it helps me get things done. She can't talk or eat anything and drinks very little, the carers are a great support giving lots of good advice so I'd have another think if you can. What's the worst that can happen with this virus and do what you think is best. My carers arrive all gowned up with Ppe, scary but necessary. Sorry to much about me here, good luck and remember you are not alone.

    Hi Bailey

I can totally relate to what you are saying as my son is in a similar situation. My daughter in law is doing all the care and I can't even visit. We too are praying for a miracle. Would you like us to pray for your hubby too? It's hard to see the fear, and I pray for peace too. Sending love to you all !

I feel similar to you. My wife is only 51 and fading before my eyes. We are stuck at home with our older children I don’t seem to be getting any support from hospice nurses or McMillan no ones contacted me to tell me what to expext or how to look after her . Its devastating me seeing her like this , she’s so brave and I feel like I’ve let her down   Sorry I’m rambling now    Just remember to stay strong for him
