my ex partner was diagnosed with AML 9 weeks ago. Spent 8 weeks in isolation, got chemo and clinical trial drug, gruelling , He got home a week ago, get his biopsy results tomorrow, indications are not too good, praying hard for positive outcome. Just hit us all like a ton of bricks.
Tomorrow is D Day, and he is coping better than me x
Hi, I took my lead from my husband, as he said, he was in the eye if the storm whereas the rest of us are caught in the turbulence. I have tried to stay one day at a time, thinking about the past or future is too hard, I can just about cope if I stay in the present moment and focus on what I can do today. That is enough. I hope you can access support for you, talking to someone will help - your GP could sign post you.
