Hi everyone, dad has cancer in 3 sites but he made the decision last summer not to have the operation due to high risk heart problems .He is 20 mths post diagnoses .He has been symptom free but then past 6 weeks ,has lost weight due to reduced appetite,incontinence nurse involved but has taken wearing pads etc in all in stride..He paid for his funeral up front last year ,today bought up the subject of his wake and said when hes inbed he will get me or my brother to go and get some money ,so niether of us have to worry about finding the money.Hes being our rock and preparing as much as he can .He wanted to celebrate his 80th on May with a party with all friends and family.Still feel as though he knew then that things were happening.I know he is afraid of the unknown ,but his humour is still there and everytime I see him I try and tell hom a joke (dirtier the better).Hes not maudling apart from when talking business so to speak .I will try and keep that humour aslong as it lasts ,as that is my dad x
