hi my mum was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer which after 18 months of chemo has now spread to lungs and is uncureable

mum is due her last chemo then there’s no more options for treatment

we make the most of each day but in the last week mum had become increasingly anxious can’t settle can’t focus

has anyone else dealt with this with a family member it’s hard as not sure what to do to help if you got pain medication will help but with anxiety what can you do to help

  • Hi and welcome to the online community although I'm sorry that you've had to find us.

It's natural for your mum to be anxious now that she knows that she's coming to the end of her treatment and it's equally natural that you want to do what you can to help.

You might find this information from Macmillan on emotional support when you have incurable cancer helpful as it tells you what sort of help is available for your mum and how to access it.
