Hi everyone.
I had my recent appointment at my local hospital last Tuesday and they informed me my neutrophil count was slightly low 1.4 at my last visit to my transplant hospital. I’d had my flu and Covid vaccine around 3 days previously. My latest bloods were taken a couple of weeks ago and the neutrophil was still at 1.4 but my platelets have dropped to 166. However this blood test was taken at the end of a nasty viral infection, headaches high temps etc. Do you think these two factors will have affected my blood count fluctuations ? I am nearly 5 years post transplant for AML and otherwise feel great.
Mark
Hi Mark, I am 8 years out from my second Allo and my counts are regularly all over the place…… no real reason fir it apart from having regular infections.
Thanks Highlander ,they don’t seem worried as my next bloods are not for 3 months but the doctor I spoke to last week was not a haematologist so I didn’t get any info and it’s been on my mind .Hope your keeping well x
