Hi everyone.

Yesterday was 4 years since my bone marrow transplant for relapsed AML . My life is virtually back to normal, very few side effects and I can do most things I used to running , cycling etc.

It wasn’t an easy journey by any means but thankfully I got there.
Unfortunately yesterday was a bittersweet day, no celebration only sadness  as I lost my wonderful wife in March to aggressive bowel cancer, she died 5 months after diagnosis. She was my rock during my illness and never left my side. Life is very cruel sometimes.

I hope everyone going through their transplant journey has a smooth journey x

Mark

  • Hi Mark, I had actually seen your posts about your dear wife in the Bowel Cancer Group….. I am so so sorry for your lose and it being so quick….. my sincere condolences.

Navigating life’s road can be cruel at times…. memories can’t make up for your lose but they can’t be taken away.

Wishing you all the best as you move life forward on this new journey Mark… I don’t know if you do man hugs but there is one coming your way.
