Hi , stem cell harvest completed last week . The transplant is with in my sights now but I am concerned because of my intolerance to certain anti bionics .The team managing my myeloma are now also concerned and I am waiting for further news from them after they have news from micro biology and immunology
Has anyone else had similar concerns .
Sue
Hi Sue, as you know I don’t have Myeloma but have a life long allergy to a few antibiotics and drugs so a lot of clever work by micro biology and immunology was done before I went into my first SCT to ensure that there was a clear plan as to the antibiotics and antivirals I could have during and post SCT as infections are all but guaranteed.
Thanks for the prompt reply. What you have just told me brings mea great deal of hope. I have great trust in the team caring for me but as always waiting for a plan and any news is difficult .
Stay well Sue

Pre SCT is a challenge…… I had to do it twice
