Hi I’m about to start radiotherapy for neck cancer & I’m just terrified as I’m claustrophobic & not sure how long each treatment lasts as I get panicky in the mask ️
HI
I am sorry to hear you have this daunting treatment coming up. I haven’t experienced it myself although I have seen the masks in the radiotherapy suite. However, I do know someone who might help, . He’s been living with head and back cancer for a long time and I hope will be able to give you some tips.
You might also think about joining the head and neck cancer group.

Good luck!
Hi
I was wondering how you got on with the radiotherapy. My partner is about to start radiotherapy on Monday for Head & Neck cancer and is also claustrophobic. He had a bit of a wobble getting the mask fitted but they’ve assured him that’s the longest he will be in it.
Any advice greatly received
