Hello all , having been diagnosed with Myeloma and have now completed 3 cycles of treatment the next step is stem cell replacement . If anyone could guide me in the best place to find information on the procedure and what to expect after i would be grateful .

  • Hi    and a warm welcome to the Community.

EDIT - I have just seen you have joined the Myeloma group and put up a post.

I am Mike and I help out around our various Blood Cancer groups. I have lived with and been treated for 2 rare types of Lymphoma for over 25 years and as part of my treatment I had 2 Allograft (donor) Stem Cell Transplants (June 2014 then in Oct 2015) and I am now over 10 years out from my last treatment and getting n with life.

The Community is actually divided into dedicated Support Groups (Discussion Rooms) so can I recommend that you look to join and put up your own post in our dedicated……..

         Myeloma

…….. support group. This group is a safe place to talk to others with a similar diagnosis, treatment experience, to ask questions and get support.

To connect in with the group please click on the link above……. then once the group page opens you will see a [Black - Click to Join - Banner] at the bottom of the page, click in this box and this will then confirm that you have joined the group.

You can then introduce yourself to the group by putting up your very own post by clicking [+ Create new post] or [+] in the top right of the group page.

You can copy and paste the text from this post into your new post.

I will keep an eye open for you and so can give you further help.
