Life is so difficult right now. Not getting much sleep leaves me with no energy. Even phoned the samaritans during the night, felt so alone. They are a great help. Waiting for it scan results in the next couple of weeks
Hi Salty sallye03d16 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community, and although I've had different cancer diagnoses to you I know how hard waiting for results can be.
The online community is divided into different support groups and I can see that you've already found and joined the bowel cancer group which is a great place to connect directly with others who have the same type of cancer as you.
When you feel ready you can start a new post there in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
There is also a thread in the cancer chat group called awake and up all night which is really active. Next time you're awake you could pop on there as you'll nearly always find someone else who is struggling to sleep to chat to.
When you feel up to it, it would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
