I had been going to GP with pins and needles down right arm and numbness in my fingers for 15 months. The GP diagnosed a trapped nerve and referred me to physiotherapist for hand exercises. Eventually I was sent for an MRI scan which shows many lesions to spine.
Now after 2 MRI scans, a CT scan and whole body nuclear bone scan I am waiting to see oncologist next week.
Obviously as it has been nearly 18 months since the start of this the cancer will have spread considerably and fear the results of the scans.
There was some mention of a bone biopsy which I understand is extremely painful, has anyone had one of these in the vertebrae? Anyone had cancer that has been left for so long without treatment?
Hi again Nadine
I can see that you've joined the secondary breast cancer group (link), which I signposted you to previously, and I'm sure if you post this message there you'll get lots of support.
If you need any help finding your way back to that group just click on the link above and it'll take you straight there.
Anne
No, you've posted it in the New to the Community group.
((hugs))
Hi, it doesn’t give me the option to post to secondary breast cancer only other options!
Does nobody reply to the post where you introduce yourself?
Hi Nadine
Click on the green writing which says secondary breast cancer group on my first reply in this thread to you. That should open a page called 'Secondary breast cancer forum'. Right at the top of the page on the right hand side you should see either '+Create new post' or '+' depending on what type of device you are using.
Next click on 'Start A Discussion' and, after giving your post a subject title, you can then type your message into the box entitled 'description'. When you're happy with what you've written click on 'Post' at the bottom of the page.
If you click here, it also gives step-by-step instructions on how to start a discussion.
I hope this helps but do reply to me again if you need further help.
Anne
The New to the Community group is like the reception desk in a large building with the groups being rooms. Some people come here briefly but most people interact in the rooms/groups.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
